The lido is a few minutes walk away, as well as a publicly accessible and free swimming area, a few minutes further.

A boat pier offers the possibility for trips to the island of Mainau, the Rhine Falls, Meersburg, Constance, Switzerland or Austria. This is also within walking distance in about 10min.
The Basilica Birnau is only a few minutes walk away.

The historic old town and famous promenade of Überlingen can be reached on foot in about 30min.
Meersburg with its castle and the middle-aged castle is very easy to reach by bike in about 20min.

On the way there you will pass the Unteruhldingen pile dwellings, which are a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Via Meersburg you can reach Konstanz by boat or ferry.
Nearby and also reachable by bike are the Affenberg in Salem or the pet farm Reutemühle in Überlingen/Bambergen, which make children's eyes sparkle.

For catering, a bakery, a supermarket and an organic market are within walking distance.

If an emergency should happen, two general practitioners are on site, as well as a dentist and a pharmacy.
